Social ResponsibilityWestcor's shopping centers thrive alongside their local communities. The company and its employees give back through financial support, volunteering and in-kind donations in areas of concern ranging from education to women's health. Westcor partners with many non-profit organizations in Arizona, including Fresh Start Women’s Foundation, Salvation Army, Phoenix Children's Hospital, American Heart Association and YWCA.
In fact, Westcor employees celebrated the company's 40th anniversary year in 2009 with more than 10,000 hours of volunteer time for community endeavors as diverse as the Desert Mission Food Bank and the Fiesta Bowl Parade. Employees also apply for corporate grant dollars for local organizations through the company's Louise Marquez Awards program.
